GQ Marketing was founded in the year 2000.

Since then, the company has grown at a substantial rate and now has affiliated Marketing Companies throughout the UK, Holland, Poland and Spain with its Head Office situated within the heart of Warsaw. With our expansion into Europe within the last twelve months our continuous growth is accelerating at an incredible pace, with plans to expand further across the countries we are operating in as well as Ukraine, Belarus, Slovakia and Czech Republic in the near future.

The company is a leading below-the-line direct marketing specialist contracted to The Cobra Group Plc, on behalf of which it represents an array of clients from the FTSE 100 and the premier High Street brands. GQ’s tasks are to increase clients’ brand awareness among the customers and promote clients’ services using different channels like B2B, B2C, and events. The company’s goal is to expand in the fastest possible way to be able to provide the clients with local, national and international exposure. Already dealing with International telecommunications, and Utilities companies we are also planning to expand into other divisions as well as other cities and countries where we plan to open new Marketing Companies!

Where we started...

Alan Telford, our President’s first knowledge of the company was through a friend who was working in one of the Marketing Companies in New Zealand, that friend convinced him to travel 8,000 miles to take up this opportunity. On giving up his job in the UK he had no idea that this one trip would start the foundations of one of the fastest growing organisations in the group today.

From working in New Zealand, Alan then turned his career possibilities closer to home and opened his first office in the city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. His strong leadership skills and drive for the highest standards possible were apparent from an early stage and it was not long before he opened his second office in Newcastle.

Due to his constant commitment to holding himself accountable for the success of the Marketing Companies in his Organisation a new challenge was needed, his goal was to create a “power-house” of an office and he chose Sheffield for this location.

Spending two years in Sheffield, strengthening his business and personal skills, the Organisation now spans four countries and eleven cities. The success of the Organisation, is put down to, instilling the correct quality and standards in everyone within it ensuring the pace is set at all times.

Afterwards Alan has certainly not sat back to experience his success, but he has yet again rose to the challenge and has opted to move again. As the first office in Eastern Europe, he opened Warsaw, Poland at the end of 2004, which is now set to be one of the fastest growing countries within the Group. With five Marketing Companies in three cities, with a client cooperating with us and we plan to grow in number of cities we are in and number of clients we represent.

Two years ago, Alan took up another challenge and moved to Spain, Seville. He has taken across his determination, new idea’s and the ability to instil high standards and the results are starting to exceed at every level.
